Types of Master's Degrees at UTM

Master by Research

Focuses on conducting original and innovative research under academic supervision, with the aim of developing and applying new knowledge, culminating in the submission of a thesis.

Master by Coursework

Requires the completion of 40 credit hours a minimum average of not less than 3.0. It includes advanced coursework and an applied graduation project.

Master's in Mixed Mode

combines study and research, and requires the completion of 21 credit hours (courses) and research work equivalent to 21 hours others, with an average of not less than 3.0.

Airport reception

Coordination for reception at Malaysia Airport: All international students coming to Malaysia on a student visa, after arriving at Malaysia Airport, cannot leave the airport. You must coordinate in advance for your arrival, so that a university representative goes to the airport on your arrival day and completes the necessary administrative procedures for your departure from the airport, then transports you from the airport to the university or accommodation.
